The Molblin's Tale

------------------

It is widely known that not all of the Molblins living in the
forests of Hyrule were pleased with the archmage Ganon's rise
to power. Monetary donations from some of the more generous
Molblins were instrumental in Ganon's overthrow by the
legendary hero, Link.

But one young Molblin warrior even went so far as to take
matters into his own hands. When his clan allowed Ganon to
take many of his brethren as slaves he rebelled against his
elders and set out to destroy the evil wizard and free his
kindred. This is his story.

Requirements:
-The Legend of Zelda ROM V1.0 (no reminder to hold reset on save
screen) NOTE: ALL ROM REQUESTS WILL BE IGNORED.
-Nesticle V0.42 or later (download at www.classicgaming.com)

How to Use:
-Place the ZELDA.STA file in the same directory as your Zelda
 V1.0 ROM.
-Make sure the ROM filename is ZELDA.NES.
-Run Nesticle and open ZELDA.NES.
-Press F7 to load the edited ZELDA.STA file.

Hints:
-Be sure to save the ZMOLBLIN.ZIP file as a backup. If you
accidentally save the Nesticle state before you load ZELDA.STA
the edited version will be overwritten.
-Once ZELDA.STA is loaded you can save the game state freely.
-When quitting Nesticle save the game's state instead of using
the game's battery backup routine. If you restore from the
battery backup file the edited version will revert to normal.

I would have preferred to release this as an IPS patch but it
seems Zelda has a slightly odd graphic format that X-Late and
NexEdit choke on. Nesticle's tile editor is far better anyway
(though I reeeeally wish it had Copy and Paste functions). I
think you'll find that the seamless quality of the edits makes
using a .STA file worthwhile, though.

I want feedback, dammit! If you liked this edit, then E-mail me
at thespook@novia.net. If I get enough positive response I may
do more edits like this one. I especially appreciate bug reports
and will do everything in my power to address them. Remember,
*ALL ROM REQUESTS WILL BE IGNORED*. If you can't find your own
ROMs then you are a neenerhead.

The latest version of this file is available on Rage Games.
