        Hello folks ! Looking for a linux nes emulator ??
XNes has been ported !!! The Linux coder is Chuck Mason.
For any question on XNes Linux Port ask him directly
your question.

Minimum Requirement:
====================

o. Pentium class
o. 8 Mo of RAM
o. Linux kernel 2.0.x
o. Support of ELF binaries

What is emulated :
==================

       - The 6502, using the 6502 emulation core of Marat (with modifications)
       - Sprite 8x8 and 8x16
       - Trainers supported
       - The most important IO port
       - Sprite flipping supported, perhaps some bug are still present
       - Joypad 1 emulation
       - MMC 1,2,3,7 and 11 supported
       - Horizontal And vertical scrolling
       - Save game ram (WRAM saving)
       - MMC 4 Partially
       - PCX Snapshot (broken) - F10
       - Sprite Priorities

What to look forward to :
=========================
	- More IO ports (nicer graphics)
	- MMC 4 (fixes)
        - Sound
        - A GUI

TO USE IT :
===========

	YOU USE XNES AT YOU OWN RISK !!

	To use it :

	Xnes	<.nes>	[-flags]

-f x		: To skip x frame. Default : 1/3
-iperiod x	: To set the iperiod. Default 20000
-vga            : Use a standard VGA mode (320x200, the default is 320x240).
-bat s          : Use alternate savegame file
-nojoy          : Turn off joystick
	During the execution :

ESC	to quit
F12	To do a screenshot to XNes.pcx (not yet supported)
+ 	To increase Frame Rate
-	to decrease Frame Rate


Joypad 1 key :

Alt     => Button A
Control => Button B
Tab     => Button Select
Enter   => Button Start

        I plan to port XNes to other platform like UNix,Amiga,beos,...
because XNes is fully in C. If there's somebody who is interested 
EMail me :). Somebody have write to me to ask if he can port XNes under
Mac so watch!

        I use Allegro but in a near future I will use an assembly
graphics engine ! :)
