SADnes is a Nintendo Entertainment System emulator written in Visual Basic 6. It's freeware, run many demos, as well some Comercial Roms. It lacks compatibility and have no sound (yet).

* #1# Charapter 1 - What's new *
********************************

V 00020*  - We think to port SADnes DOS, to Win32, so we could use a faster API, and many other Win32 resources, such DirectX, OpenGL and Glide (lol...). At current point, it's much more faster (around 90% over the DOS Version), and using BitBlt and StrechBlt for graphics. Partial Mapper #0 support, only minor bugs.

V 0.0025.666* - Atomic Bomberman put some colors on SADnes, because BW colors, was too happy (lol). We count now with 3 colors (Black for BG, White, Blue for sprites and Graphics)

V 0.026.666*  - Partial Mapper #3, Gradius, only shows a Black screen,

V 0.109.666*  - Started to make DirectX 7, support.

V 0.11        - Great News, SPEED UP: At. Bomberman finished to implement the DDraw graphics (I think so..), The emu speeds up around 40% (I think.. hohoho), Before these speed up, ran Mario Bros 1, with 3~5 frameskips to be at playable rates,Nooooow, it's too fast at 0 frameskip !! <Mental Note:> I have a fast Pentium II 400, with a D.Monster Fusion 16Mb....</Mental Note:> This Speed up, would be great for people with slow computers such Pentium 75/100 (sux).

V 0.11b2      - Added a Status Bar with the Number of Frames to skip...

V 0.11b5      - Pacman support, but with many glitchs, some new unhandled opcodes, were been added.

V 0.12*       - Added Options Box, but it doesn't saves yet...

V 0.12b*      - Added the "Stars" efect to the About Box

V 0.12 Criptonyta - Option Dialog available for configuring the Emu, not much for now, but something, you can configure the Frameskip, and support for Instant Redraw (recomended only for P3-500+), enabling Instant Redraw should fix the bugs with pacman ...

Absolute Minimum System that SadNES can run on (but strongly not recommended) :
- 486 DX4-100 processor
- 8MB of RAM
- VGA card

Somewhat Recomended System :

- Pentium processor (75/100+)
- 32MB of RAM (min 16MB free)
- SVGA card

Recomended System :

- Pentium processor (200/233)
- 32MB of RAM (min. 16MB free)
- 2 MB of SVGA VESA Card

Ideal System :

- Pentium II processor (266~450)
- 64MB of RAM (min. 16 free)
- 4 Mb Voodoo Compatible card

- Poor Timing (too slow on slow pcs(P1-75), and too fast with fast pcs (P2-400+)
