RAINE 20000725 Source
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(c)1998-2000 Antiriad & Raine Team
(http://www.rainemu.com/ & http://www.geoshock.com/rainewip/)
This is a release of the latest version of the Raine source code available.
It is based on Raine 0.28f that was given to me by Antiriad and 0.28g that
had lots of bugfixes and small additions by Kayamon.
I've mixed those two together and added some stuff that Antiriad wrote shortly
before his decision to quit for good such as a modified EEPROM code and two games,
SDF Macross and Puzzle Bobble 1 (B-System version).
(For any future changes check changes.txt)
All games that are not currently available on the web are commented out, this will
help to keep people from rom-begging (don't bug neither me nor Antiriad about roms).
It is hoped that by releasing this code RAINE can be developed further than is
possible under the current rather limited remaining team. If any information is
used from this source be it the direct copying of code or otherwise full credit
should be given to Antiriad (or the appropriate other team member in the case of
a couple of sections of code) for the use of RAINE in your development.
Antiriad is no longer developing Raine and therefore no questions about this source
should be mailed to him.
If you have any questions feel free to ask in IRC, EFNET, #Raine or mail someone
who is listed at the bottom of this document.
If you make changes, additions or bugfixes to the code to it would be very helpful
if you mail them to us as to avoid a scenario with 40 different versions of RAINE
each with a couple of benefits over the others.
If you feel that there is something in the source that should not be there please
contact us about removing it from future versions.
What's included:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

-- source.rar : The RAINE source code itself with the needed Allegro .dat file
-- ahack3927.zip : Various Allegro patches & hacks

Notes on compiling:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-- If you already have an installation of DJGPP and Allegro you will still need a
   fresh installation of them. You can use the recent version of DJGPP but you will
   need to compile and install Allegro 3.9.27 (WIP) with the files from ahack3927.zip
   copied over the source before compiling.
   Note: for your convenience I have uploaded Allegro 3.9.27 (WIP) to Geoshock, you can
   download it at http://www.geoshock.com/getfiles/?all3927.zip
-- Do not try to apply any of the DJGPP optimizations that are for example used in MAME.
   Some parts of RAINE, especially the Assembler code won't like that and this might
   lead to bugs and strange behaviour of the compiled binary.
Closing notes:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Feel free to use this code for whatever you want, but if you make any benefit from it for
your own project be sure that you appreciate the countless hours Antiriad has put into this.
Please give him full credit and maybe think about dropping him a mail with a "thank you", I
am really sure he deserves it.
