       			    FCE Linux

       			Version: .01b4

What's new:

Fixed a bug in joystick routines that caused many games not to work.
Added second joystick input. Now you can play 2 player games. See note
 at end, though.
Added CHR base select to MMC 3 emulation.
Worked on MMC 1 and 5 support.
Messed around with sound a bit. Might sound a bit worse...

To do soon:

Fix joystick bug that seems to be causing mother to lock up.
Release a "Pentium optimized" version.

Here it is, the Linux port of Bero's FCE.
It's very buggy, though very fast.
Sound support and MMC support are very primitive.
It also uses a very strange video mode, so it MIGHT not work with your
 monitor.
Sound emulation via /dev/dsp
Mappers 1(partial),2,3,4(partial), and 24(partial) are supported

Minimum system requirements:

Linux kernel that supports ELF, preferably >=2.0.32
 SVGAlib
 (S)vga card
 8 MB RAM
 486/66

Recommended system requirements:

 16 MB RAM
 Pentium 60

Optional:

 Sound card and support
 Mouse(coming soon, hopefully...)

Usage:

	fce <romimagename.nes>

To exit emulation, just press the Escape key. Otherwise, use the
following key layout:

Key Layout:

Joystick 1:

START <ENTER>
SELECT <TAB>
DIRECTION Cursor Keys
A Left <CTRL> or Right <ALT>
B Left <ALT> or Right <CTRL> or <Space>

Joystick 2:

START R
SELECT Left <SHIFT>
DIRECTION	UP - W
		RIGHT - S
		DOWN - Z
		LEFT - A

A H
B G

A note about keyboards:

Due to the limitations of the PC keyboard, only a few keys can be
depressed at a time. I know this is true for PS/2 keyboards, and is
probably so for any kind, though I am not certain. So don't complain to
me about this, as it isn't a bug in FCE.
